The Crohns and Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) have recruited former First Lady Barbara Bush in an upcoming IBD awareness campaign. Mrs. Bush will appear in a series of :15 and :30 second national television and radio public service announcements. The campaign will be launched in August.
Mrs. Bush's youngest son and brother of current president Bush, Marvin Bush was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis in 1985, and underwent surgery to remove his colon the following year.
